Rotorua Visit- Collaboration of ideas and reflective statements from our PD over the holidays

  • Had a clear and well articulated purpose that connected firmly with your issues and needs, and which was based firmly on the foundations/expectations of the education system (student achievement, equity of learning opportunity, cognizance of national imperatives)
  • Met the test of culture, language and identity that affirmed all delegates’ ability to engage and see themselves in the process
  • Provided networking opportunities which begin ahead of the Conference and continues unabated beyond the event, as a focal point or locus of our thinking and action.
  • Was filled with diverse opportunity to capture diverse learning styles, which would engage interest and evoke response.
  • Modelled the highest ideals of professional learning and development for the teaching profession
  • Asked the very big questions… why, what and how….
  • Celebrated success, created challenge, and inspired ongoing action and engagement
  • Was inspiring and at the same time great fun!
  • AND most essentially, led to quantifiable, reportable and demonstrable action!!!
